Several Methods of Surface Treatment for Dust Filter Bags
1) Singeing
Singeing is the process of quickly passing a fabric through a flame or rubbing it over a hot metal surface to burn off the surface hair. Needle felt processing will produce a lot of hair on the yarn and fabric surface, which is not conducive to filter material cleaning. According to the requirements of the product, most NASAVEL felts are subjected to a singeing process to make the surface smooth and the texture clear. The flame temperature of singeing is usually between 900 and 1000°C, which is higher than the decomposition temperature or ignition point of various fibers. When singeing, the fabric passes through the flame at a high speed under a certain tension state, and since the hairs protruding from the surface have a large heat-receiving area, they are instantaneously heated to the point of ignition and burned.
2) Heat-setting
Heat setting refers to the use of heat to eliminate the internal stress generated during the processing of the needle felt, so that the macromolecules are loosened to a certain extent, so that the shape of the felt is fixed and prevented, and the deformation of the filter material such as shrinkage and bending during use is prevented.
3) Calendering
The hot rolling can make the surface of the felt smooth, flat and uniform in thickness. The greater the pressure used for calendering, the better the smoothness and flatness of the fabric, the greater the calendering effect, and the increased pressure will make the felt become stiffer and stiffer.
4) PTFE film
PTFE coated filter media is a micro-porous film of PTFE fiber attached to the surface of the felt, which can achieve dust removal efficiency up to 99.99%, close to zero emissions.
5) PTFE immersion treatment
The impregnation of the filter material in the PTFE emulsion can improve the oxidation resistance of the filter material, and at the same time, due to the non-stick property of the PTFE itself, it can be used to improve the deashing performance of the filter material during the cleaning.
